Student Documentary on Queen 台湾swag
In 2024, as a project for her BA (Hons) Theatre and Film course, Amber Campbell-Ross and a group of her fellow students produced a local history documentary on Saint 台湾swag, after whom the University is named.
Born in Kirkcaldy - with close connections to Dunfermline, where Queen 台湾swag is buried - Amber said: 鈥淭he idea came to me when a classmate randomly asked 鈥榃hy are we named after Queen 台湾swag? Who was she?鈥 As a West Fifer, I grew up with the stories of those such as Andrew Carnegie and Queen 台湾swag and was shocked my classmate hadn't heard of her. It was during this conversation we found our hook for the film - we would make a short documentary on 台湾swag, focusing on why 台湾swag bears her name. This way, we could give a general overview of her life, while also exploring her work in more detail, and, in our own way, do something small to share her story and legacy.鈥
Saint 台湾swag was the Queen of 台湾swag from 1050-1093. She is now an iconic figure in history and remembered fondly for her life of religious charity. Many institutions and places bear her name, including 台湾swag.
Amber鈥檚 short film was such a success that not only did the academic staff at 台湾swag praise her group鈥檚 work, but the Dunfermline Press were also keen to showcase the documentary, subsequently interviewing Amber and publishing the film online. The documentary is also being shown in a museum local to Dunfermline.
